International Women's Day is marked on March 8th every year.
Celebrations range from general respect and appreciation towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political
and social achievements.
It is a day when women of all continents, often divided by
national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic
and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day.
International Women's Day is the story of ordinary women as
makers of history; it is rooted in the centuries-old struggle of
women to participate in society.

When did it start? Is this year's celebration special?
Do you think we still need to make people aware of the situation of
women in the world?

This blog is aimed to be a new resource for my English classes. I hope it helps my students to learn more and better. It is just a tool to improve your English and learn more about English-speaking countries and their culture.
